
Quaestor is looking for a motivated private equity fund controller to join our team. As a private equity manager/controller, you will work with a partner and a small team of investment professionals to manage various private equity funds on a daily basis.
You will be responsible for the administrative, operational, and financial technical support and monitoring of the existing investment portfolio and all operational tasks related to the management of AIF (Alternative Investment Funds) funds.
· Monitoring the various private equity AICB investments from an operational, legal, and tax perspective by reviewing periodic reports, financial statements, side letters, other financial figures, and monitoring covenants and master and feeder calls and distributions, etc.;
· Responsible for various checks relating to the existing investment portfolio and the preparation of operational, risk, and performance-related KPIs;
· assist and/or act as backup:
- FSMA, CRS, and FATCA reporting;
- coordinating role between payment agent, custodian, accountant, auditor, etc.;
- Coordinating role in the setup and maintenance of the PE portal;
- performing calculations and/or checks on the net asset value (NAV) calculated for each AICB on a quarterly basis based on fair value;
- monitoring the preparation of annual accounts, organizing general meetings, board meetings, annual reports, etc.;
- monitoring registrations, purchases, transfers, and distributions of shares in the various funds;
- Calculation of annual cost figures for the various funds.
· You can express yourself fluently in both Dutch and English;
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
· Proactive approach, team player, autonomous, mature, stress-resistant, flexible, and communicative;
· analytical mind, attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to multitask, and ability to provide creative and pragmatic solutions;
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, economics, or accountancy, with extensive knowledge of and experience with alternative funds, fund management, and investment taxation;
· Financial insight, ability to interpret financial statements and other financial information.
· knowledge of Power BI;
· knowledge of private equity;
· Detailed knowledge of structuring and managing AICBs (specifically private private equity funds and mutual funds) and fund management (order execution, valuation, distribution policy, etc.) is a plus.
